The monthly Neukölln Country Club is neither exclusively Neukölln-based, nor is there among its clientele a single polo shirt to be seen. The Hole Boys, a collection of audacious entertainers and the minds behind the endeavor, describe themselves as “the hottest rhythm section this side of the Spree”. It’s the makings of a true bar band when its various members come together and present their persuasive symbiosis of DIY and glamour with blind agility and steadfastness. The veritable revue has incorporated strings, horns, dancers, set designers, theme nights, awards ceremonies, and a limitless supply of illustrious guests, including Doe Paoro, Molly Nilsson, Max Prosa, Cherry Bandora, James Chatburn, and Laura Lopez Castro. At Kaffee Burger we’ll catch the Hole Boys and their Neukölln Country Club on the other side of the Spree for another addition to a plethora of unique programs. And here come the rumors: The likelihood that other members of this year’s lineup will wind up on stage with these swashbucklers is very high!
