Das Torstra\u00dfenfestival ist kein Stra\u00dfenfest, sondern ein Musikfestival. Angefangen hat alles mit einem sp\u00e4tsommerlichen Nachmittagsprogramm, entwickelt hat sich daraus eine fr\u00fch<\/i>sommerliche 3-t\u00e4gige Veranstaltung an etlichen Spielorten in Berlin-Mitte: ein Seismograph f\u00fcr verschiedenste Berliner Musikszenen, eine B\u00fchne f\u00fcr internationale Highlights, ein Festival f\u00fcr Szenenvielfalt, Nachbarschaft, Entdeckung und Community.<\/p>\n

Unser Publikum sch\u00e4tzen wir als Entdecker*innen, die ihrer und unserer Neugierde vertrauen. Wir unterst\u00fctzen Musik, die sich f\u00fcr uns, hier und jetzt, als auch in der Welt insgesamt relevant anf\u00fchlt. Lokal m\u00f6chten wir ein Forum sein f\u00fcr aktuelle und relevante Entwicklungen in der Berliner Musikszene: f\u00fcr Einheimische, Durchreisende und ihre Einfl\u00fcsse.<\/p>\n

Seit 2011 arbeiten wir rund um die Torstra\u00dfe mit alten und neuen Strukturen zusammen und laden die Nachbarschaft ein, den Rahmen des Festivals f\u00fcr eigene Ideen und Veranstaltungen nutzen. Dabei bespielen wir einerseits Orte, die bereits seit Jahren Musikkultur in unserer Stadt pflegen und laden andererseits unser Publikum an untypische Spielorte ein, um die Musik in ein neues Licht zu r\u00fccken.<\/p>\n

Um m\u00f6glichst vielen diese Entdeckungen zu erm\u00f6glichen, versuchen wir die Ticketpreise so g\u00fcnstig wie m\u00f6glich zu halten, denn wir sehen Musik als integralen Teil des st\u00e4dtischen Lebens.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Torstra\u00dfen Festival is a music festival, and it is also a festival about community, the various scenes the city breeds as well as the neighborhood where we call home. Starting out as a matin\u00e9e one day festival, over the years TSF has turned into a three day event that takes a current look into the local and international music scenes and encourages: community, discovery, and diversity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We see festival goers and ourselves as explorers, who are not afraid to trust their curiosity. We choose music that feels in this moment relevant to not only what happens here, but in the world at large. Here at home we strive to be a forum for current development within Berlin\u2019s music scenes, promoting and supporting: for locals, transients and their influencers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We promote a mix of old and new structures in our neighborhood Mitte and rally the neighbors to participate and add their own spark to the festival. We showcase and support venues that have been bringing music culture into the city, many of them for years. And we cultivate a few unlikely venues which allow the music to shine in a new light.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We keep ticket prices as affordable as possible so that as many fans, neighbors and music lovers find it easy to make new discoveries as we stand for music as an integral part of urban life.<\/span><\/p>\n
