Y\u2019all ready for this, pyow pyow pyow. Here we find ourselves at Round 5 of our Lucy vs. Torstra\u00dfe series \u2013 with only 2 final acts to go, August 31st is just around the corner. Today we are meeting Millennium<\/a>. Don\u2019t be fooled by their corporate vibe \u2013 they really just like a crisp suit and clever bit of business branding.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s get to the dot points, I know you are holding out for them.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Millennium give you 3 free tracks through their \u201cStart-Up-Kit<\/a>\u201d \u2013 which is wicked, because who doesn\u2019t like free music.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Old mates have the best website<\/a> going around, it somehow elicits nostalgia and<\/em> a sense of daggy-cool \u2013 which to be honest doesn\u2019t often go hand in hand.<\/p>\n

\u2013 This group have real names, like Norman and Ville.. Ok \u2013 yes Ville is less usual to me (as an Australian) \u2013 but it\u2019s pretty rad\/ can you call a femme Ville?<\/p>\n

\u2013 Earlier this year their Terms and Conditions<\/em> EP was released on Greco-Roman<\/a>, which is an ideal result.<\/p>\n

When Millennium isn\u2019t wearing a suit and tie, or doing business around a PC they are probably trying to not spill coffee on themselves while walking, working out syncronised dance steps to Ciara\u2019s One, Two Step<\/em><\/a> or simply planning road trips around really obscure holiday destinations, because I feel like that\u2019s a pretty German thing to do.<\/p>\n

This year Millennium is playing Torstra\u00dfen Festival<\/a> \u2013 so I threw a handful of questions at them. For those that don\u2019t know me, let\u2019s be perfectly clear \u2013 I don\u2019t ask hard hitting questions about music.. This is mainly because (technically) I don\u2019t know the first thing about it. I like what I like \u2013 and then wonder\u2026. \u201cWhich item from IKEA do you reckon these guy identify most with? I think I\u2019m meatballs, obviously because they are everyone\u2019s favourite\u201d<\/p>\n

So without any further carry on \u2013 let\u2019s meet Millennium, the fifth of 6 in what we lovingly call \u201cLucy vs. Torstra\u00dfe<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n

You are from Berlin, where do I meet dudes?<\/strong>
\nMillennium: A lot of nice dudes roam around certain streets in Sch\u00f6neberg. Another tip is the Lab.oratory club<\/a> in the Berghain complex.<\/p>\n

Who is your spirit animal? I think <\/strong>this is mine<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong>
\nM: It\u2019s Aibo<\/a>, obviously.<\/p>\n

If you were a band\/ artist from the early 00\u2032s who would you be you?<\/strong>
\nVille: Were almost old enough to find that question slightly insulting. :)
\nNorman: Haha, yes. We are soooo old that we had our own bands in the early 00\u2032s. Scary, huh?<\/p>\n

You are stuck on a deserted island, you have all that boring stuff that unimaginative people think of (water, food, shelter etc.) \u2013 what are you bringing to isolation?<\/strong>
\nM: Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n

If you could meet any Berliner ever to have graced this fair city, who would you meet\/ why?<\/strong>
\nM: Not sure. There are too many to pick one.<\/p>\n

You are an item from IKEA, what are you, why? I\u2019m meat balls, because they are everyone\u2019s favourite.<\/strong>
\nM: T\u00f6rbj\u00f6rn Swivel Chair<\/a><\/p>\n

It\u2019s 1993 \u2013 what CD is in your CD player? Mine is Salt n\u2019 Pepa.<\/strong>
\nVille: Age of Love \u2013 The Age of Love
\nNorman: Bj\u00f6rk \u2013 Debut<\/p>\n

You are an area of Berlin, what are you \u2013 why? \u2013 I\u2019m everywhere outside the ring-bahn \u2013 mostly because I\u2019m trashy, and people secretly like it.<\/strong>
\nM: We are the new airport. Full of ambition but deliberately dysfunctional.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your dirty little musical secret?<\/strong>
\nM: We barely rehearse.<\/p>\n
