We are ourselves a little bit surprised why Josepha Conrad aka Susie Asado has never appeared at Torstraßen Festival until now. Named after a poem by Getrude Stein, slightly obsessed with the weird, the quirky, the exotic and the off-key Susie Asado has been taking her musical multi-language poetry on the road and onto several exceptional albums. But the wait shall be made up for with surplus value since Susie brings a guest from Argentina: Pablo Dacal is a songwriter, composer and singer from Buenos Aires, not only known for his involvement in the successful band The Killer Burritos but als for his acting skills and cultural activism. His manifesto Asesinato del Rock for example was published in the legendary book about the Argentinian rock scene by journals Miguel Grinberg. The two singing poets met on the occasion of literature festivals in Buenos Aires and Rosario for which they put together a collaborative program called Asado Dacal which they will now present for the first time in Berlin.
