Exberliner presents: Glockabelle.

When the Francophone Annabelle Cazes of New York City’s Glockabelle clangs her thimbled fingers along her glockenspiel, it’s not the lazy, hazy «Sunday Morning» of the Velvet Underground that’s evoked, but a glockrock clamoring that harkens back to the post-rock craze of the Chicago 1990’s — no wonder that city’s Fiery Furnaces insisted that they tour with them. Jettisoning her classical training for stuttering Casiotones, in combo with her all-time signature juggling bandmates, it’s as if Sylvie Vartan has been recruited by June of 44.
