«Girls who are boys who like boys to be girls». Who would have guessed? – The musicians behind Jason & Theodor are two Berliners called Sonja & Dorothee. Very clever. Apart from their weakness for mixing up roles and letters the two have a knack for dreamy pop music, which they have already pressed onto three costume-made EPs. Stylistically border crossing  and always imbedded in particularly nice designs (their website is almost a video art installation) Jason & Theodor play their instruments with skillful dilettantism thus spicing up their artsy folk tunes with orchestral sophistication. And by doing that they actually sound a lot more like Brooklyn than like Berlin. An indisputable seal of quality, which we herby gladly award to them.
