On this occasion we would like to answer 3 simple questions:
1. Who is Phia?
Phias real name is Sophia Exiner. Phia comes from Australia, moved to Berlin in 2011, sings and writes fantastic pop song, knows how to use a loop pedal and owns a kalimba.

2. What is a kalimba?
A kalimba is a thumb piano. It is a traditional african instrument, little tines are mounted onto a soundbox and played with the thumbs. A kalimba sounds friendly and warm.

3. What does this have to do with me?
Phia will perform at this year’s Torstraßen Festival. You will be there and you won’t only love her songs and her voice, you will also be fascinated by the perfection with which she play and loops and samples her kalimba, creating the illusion of a full band only with her voice and that little instrument.
