The Mohawk Lodge

2012

Sometimes it is better to embrace the obvious than to fight your parentage. Ryder Havdale, singer and song-writer of The Mohawk Lodge is from Canada. He wrote his last album in a cabin in the woods, is not afraid of facial hair and makes music which reminds us a little bit of (excactly!) Neil Young. Since a few months ago Ryder lives in Berlin (in a room above Schokoladen!) and despite normally touring as a full indie-rock band, we invited Ryder to play a solo show at Torstraßen Festival in which his usually raw sound will most probably transform into an intimate cathartic folk moment.
