Tastenclub presents: Uri Gincel Trio.

Tastenclub at Waldo Bar will characteristically end with a proper jazz trio, friends of the house, the Uri Gincel Trio. Israeli pianist Uri Gincel came to Berlin in 2009 joining forces with Danish bass player Andreas Lang and drummer Moritz Baumgärtner, who –in a very different mission– is also an active member of the Berlin-based circus-pop-collective Bonaparte. Based on traditional jazz standards and in the classic trio formation the three venture out of this definition, at times flirting with neo classic and drone, experimenting and improvising between their enthusiastic and trusting play. The trio’s latest album is named Free and the outbreaks of the proven system are very much their motto.
