Marie Chain 18:40-19:30

Marie Chain is a Soul/Blues/Funk singer, pianist and songwriter based in Berlin. After performing in the streets and traveling to New York, London, Barcelona and Berlin, she got the opportunity to play in big venues like Montreux Trail Festival, Huxleys Neue Welt Berlin, Jazz & Bluesfestival Bamberg Germany and as a support act

for “La Brass Banda”, a famous brass band from Germany. In 2016 Marie recorded her debut EP “All We ́ve Got” in London together with her band and music producer Charles “Chicky” Reeves who has already worked with artists like Ray Charles, James Brown, Prince and The Rolling Stones. At the moment Marie works on her first album in Berlin which will be released in August. This Saturday Marie will perform with her drummer and percussionist Tim Lehnert playing the Cajon. Joe Wilkinson 19:55-20:45

Joe Wilkinson is an acoustic singer/songwriter/loop pedal artist who combines thought-provoking lyrics and his unique guitar style to produce a unique live performance. All three of Joe’s three singles released so far have received radio play on the BBC and he has so far played over 500 gigs in 3 different countries.

Wynton Kelly Stevenson and Leo Karl Pogodda are Those Guys Berlin, bringing suave sounds influenced by the best of blues, hip hop and funk. Having been on the Berlin scene for years, they’re always a crowd favourite and we’re stoked to welcome them back to Belushi’s to finish off our live sets for the night.

DJ Elisa Elisa 22:15-late

Elisa Elisa is a DJ and music producer from Lyon France. Her music is a combination of House, Disco, Funk and Afro Beats. She gained her grounding in Berlin by working behind the scenes at one of the city’s most legendary clubs, Watergate. She can now be found DJing throughout Berlin, playing sets for Berlin Fashion Week parties plus appearing at a variety of shop openings and events for brands such as L´Oréal, The Body Shop, Superdry, Fossil, Nespresso, Mon Chéri, the Berlinale, and also for Kering Group: Saint Laurent, Gucci, Balenciaga…

Wir wollen nicht länger warten! Dieses Jahr öffnen wir am 09. Juni die Tore zum Hoffest im Haus Schwarzenberg auf der direkten Zielgeraden zum Berliner Sommer! Wir wollen mit Euch feiern und die Sommer-Saison in den Höfen bei einem spektakulären Programm einläuten!

Seit über zwei Jahrzehnten steht das Haus Schwarzenberg für freie Kunst, kreatives Schaffen und Selbstverwirklichung in einem unabhängigen Kulturhaus. Dieser Ort verdient nicht nur ein rau- schendes Fest mit der diesjährigen, besonderen Inszenierung seiner Höfe, sondern auch eine druckfrische Ausgabe seiner Geschichte in der zum Hoffest präsentierten und neuen Haus Schwarzenberg-Broschüre!

Diese Geschichte wird mit dem bunten Treiben vor Ort stets durch lebendige Vielfalt aktualisiert

Viviana Druga legt den Facettenreichtum des Unterbewusstseins frei. Die Performance-Sessions basieren auf Live-Readings, bereichert durch den jeweiligen Gast. Kommt vorbei mit einer Frage über Euch selbst, über etwas, für das ihr Euch mehr Klarheit wünscht – „You will receive guidance“.

“Kaipacha” ist eine audiovisuelle Performance, Ritual und klangliche Erforschungszeremonie. Der Mythologie der Inka entsprechend gibt es drei verschiedene Ebenen der Welt: die obere, die untere und Kaipacha, diese Welt, die Welt der Wahrnehmung. Movan, eigentlich Filmemacher, nutzt in diesem Performance-Ritual für vorkoloniale Gottheiten traditionelle Instrumente, Sequencer, Synthesizer und mündliche Erzählung.

Immer wieder findet man gebrauchte, weggeworfene Matratzen auf den Straßen Berlins und anderer Großstädte. Sie weisen Flecken und Abdrücke von Körperlichkeit auf, sammelt in ihren Schichten individuelle Erinnerungen und Geschichten und speichert Beziehungen und Verhältnisse – ansonsten im Privaten verborgen, sind sie nun für aller Augen sichtbar.

Andreas Gebhard fing an, die auf der Straße zurückgelassenen Matratzen zu fotografieren, und Fotos von den intimen und achtlos in den Straßen entsorgten Objekten zu machen. Das gesammelte Potpourri von zurückgelassenen Matratzen findet man auf seinem Instagram-Account: Mattresses of Berlin.
Die Verbreitung von solch Matratzenfotos scheint ein globales Phänomen zu sein. Denn: Auf Instagram gibt es – um nur einige Beispiele zu nennen – Matratzenbilder und dazugehörige Accounts aus Paris, Sydney, New York, Detroit und einen sogar nur für Ost-Londoner Matratzen.

Im Rahmen des World Mattress Days am 9. Juni veranstaltete Creator Broker Owner eine Ausstellung zu Mattresses of Berlin. Die Matratze. Kommt aus dem Italienischen, materazzo, und bedeutet so viel wie Bodenkissen. Darum dreht sich die Ausstellung, in der Fotos als Reproduktion von intimen Objekten – hier Matratzen – auf den Straßen gezeigt und Besucher durch einzigartige Performances und Installationen zum Nachdenken angeregt werden. Die Betrachtung eines Paradoxons mit einem Augenzwinkern: Die Matratze im öffentlichen Raum. Verwirrend. Denn so intim ist sie am
Ende doch so fern.

Dazu laden wir Dich herzlich ein zur diesjährigen Ausstellung von „Mattresses os Berlin“. Dich erwarten erfrischende Drinks in toller Atmosphäre.

When you walk through the streets of Berlin or other major cities around the world, again and again you will find used and discarded mattresses on the streets. Their surface is marked with smudges and impressions of the physicality of the human it belonged to. Normally hidden in private, now visible to all eyes. The relief of the usage and the body liquids are forming different patterns and give a glimpse of what has happened. The mattress is kind of a medium that collects individual stories and memorizes relationships and affairs. At some point in the past he started to take pictures of the heedless
abandoned mattresses on the streets. This potpourri is gathered on his Instagram account: Mattresses of Berlin. It seems as if the distribution of pictures of mattresses is a global phenomenon as you can find many accounts with photos from Paris, Sydney, New York, Detroit and at least one only for mattresses in East-London – to name only a few examples.
In the scope of World Mattress Day on June 9th Creator Broker Owner will organize an art exhibition of mattresses of berlin. Mattress. The word comes from the Italian, materazzo and means as much as floor cushions. That’s what this exhibition is about: Photos as a reproduction of intimate objects (here mattresses) on the streets as well as different installations and performances which inspire the visitor to reflect. Looking at a paradox with a twinkle in the eye: The mattress in public space. Confusing. It is so intimate and so distant at the same time.
In addition we want to kindly invite you to the art exhibition of „mattresses of berlin“. You are expected fresh drinks in a cosy and very pleasant atmosphere.

Mikeller Berlin – Torstraße 102

Torstrassen Fest 2018 is upon us again and this year we’re doing pretty much what we did last year! We’ll as ever be having some choice brews from Mikkeller and awesome guest beers.

We’ll put on a tasty BBQ and have a couple of DJs lined up playing music from all genres, expect disco, krautrock, some beats!

Last year was great, with lots of people on the streets, more of the same this year!
