ExBerliner präsentiert: The Network Awesome Show @ Torstraßen Festival.

Ein weiteres Mal bringt Magical-Mystery-Moderator und Musikjournalist David Strauss die psychedelischste aller Musik-Shows aus dem Interweb auf das Torstraßen Festival: The Network Awesome Show! Und mit ihm auf der Showbühne seine handverlesenen Gäste: Intellekt-Crooner Momus kommt aus Japan vorbei, Islaja transformiert Wald-Folk zu Electro-Pop, Perera Elsewhere läßt Trip Hop wiederauferstehen und Siinai verschmelzen Krautrock, Kafka, Kaufland und Ketamin.

Once more magical mystery moderator and music editor David Strauss brings the very trippiest of live music television from the interwebs to Torstraßen Festival: The Network Awesome Show! And with him come four cherry-picked cosmopolitan guests: Intellectual crooner Momus will come over from Japan, Islaja will transform forest-folk into electro-pop, Perera Elsewhere will demonstrate the rebirth of trip hop and Siinai will merge krautrock, Kafka, k-mart and ketamine. Bite Club X Shameless Limitless @ Platoon Kunsthalle

biteclub_shamelessCooperations, cooperations… Let us explain.

Bite Club is Berlin’s tastiest street food event, camping out on the grounds of Platoon Kunsthalle all summer, every Saturday. Burgers, arepas, Spätzle and kimchi are served out of food trucks and stalls. For TSF’14 Bite Club has teamed up with the canadophile concert promoter Shameless Limitless for something very special. DJs will be playing all afternoon for the hungry and inside the Kunsthalle we will see the first Berlin concert of Vancouver-based future-R&B act Evy Jane and a performance by Berlin-based US-transplant M.E.S.H. Bon appétit!

Tastenclub @ Waldo Bar

Der Tastenclub existiert seit Oktober 2013 und ist eine Konzertreihe in Berlin. Einmal pro Monat interpretieren Künstlerinnen und Künstler ihre Stücke am Flügel der Waldo Bar auf der Torstraße. Vorgestellt werden die unterschiedlichsten Facetten von Klaviermusik. So auch zum Torstraßen Festival, zu dessen Anlass der Tastenclub vier fantastische Tastenkünstler eingeladen hat. Wir freuen uns auf:  Maskenmann Lambert, Music for Houseboats von Federico Albanese aus Mailand,  Jaaaaazzzz vom Uri Gincel Trio und das heiß erwartete Berlin-Debut von Tom Adams aus Cambridge.

Tastenclub is a series of concerts founded in October 2013. Once a month at Waldo Bar right on Torstraße artists interpret their works on the piano presenting the most different facets of piano music. This will be the case also for Torstraßen Festival for which Tastenclub has invited four fantastic artists. We are looking forward to: Lambert, the mask. Music for houseboats by Federico Albanese from Milan, Jaaaaazzzzz from Uri Gincel Trio and the highly anticipated Berlin debut of Tom Adams from Cambridge.

Berlin Community Radio presents…

Der Name des jungen Berliner Webradios Berlin Community Radio ist ernstzunehmen. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit haben es Sarah Miles und Anastazja Moser geschafft eine echte Community aufzubauen, die den musikalischen Untergrund der Stadt in einem kleinen Neuköllner Radiostudio zusammenbringt und mittlerweile über ihre Webseite rund um die Uhr ein hochinteressantes und facettenreiches Programm aus dieser Stadt sendet. Wir haben Sarah und Anastazja eingeladen unsere Bühne im St. Oberholz zu bespielen, das Programm ist weitestgehend elektronisch, DJs und Live-Acts wechseln sich ab und viele der Künstler sind mit eigenen Shows eng mit dem Radio verbandelt. Wir freuen uns auf Konzerte der kanadischen Dream-Pop-Prinzessin Magic Island, der Berliner Bass Gang, Terekke aus New York, Alis aus London, sowie DJ-Sets von Kiran Sande aka Blackest Ever Black und dem Verkleidungskünstler und Anti-Allergiker Physical Therapy. Woooop!

The name of Berlin’s youngest web radio is to be taken seriously. In no time Sarah Miles and Anastazja Moser managed to built a lively community bringing together countless protagonists of Berlin underground music. An exciting and diverse program is broadcasted around the clock via their website from the tiny studio down in Neukölln. We have asked Sarah and Anastazja to curate our stage at St.Oberholz this year. The program turned out widely fairly electronic, oscillating from DJs to live acts, many of them with close ties to the radio running their own shows. We look forward to concerts of Canadian dream pop princess Magic Island, Berlin’s bass-heavy Bass Gang, Terekke from New York and Alis from London, as well as DJ-sets by Kiran Sande aka Blackest Ever Black and anti-allergic producer Physical Therapy. Wooooop!

Once more Torstraßen Festival totally blew our expectations!

A huge thanks goes out to our wonderful audience, to 37 fantastic acts, to all the great hosts around Torstraße, to our enthusiastic stage managers, technicians, volunteers, DJs, bar staff and helpers, to the many partycipating neighbors and to our friends & partners. We saw so many happy faces both on and off-stage, everything worked out so smoothly and we had an amazing time ourselves. Vielen, vielen Dank an alle! Plenty of photos are coming up very soon. Let’s do this again some time :)

Das Torstraßen Festival ist ein Musikfestival im Kiez und wir laden Euch, die Menschen, Geschäfte, Restaurants, Bars, Cafés, Galerien, Waschsalons, Copy-Shops, Hotels und Büros der Nachbarschaft ein, den Tag für eigene Aktionen zu nutzen.

Schmeißt eine Party, eröffnet eine Ausstellung oder kocht ein Torstraßenmenu! Denkt Euch für den 30. August etwas Besonderes aus, lasst es uns wissen und wir sagen es weiter. Diese Partyzipatoren sind schon dabei.
